Alpha Sigma Endowment Fund Legacy Brick Campaign
Greeting Brothers!
Since becoming the first college chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha west of the Mississippi in 1925, the Brothers of Alpha Sigma have developed leaders, promoted Brotherhood and academic excellence, while providing service and advocacy for our communities.
The unprecedented events of the recent past and many of the issues we face today have highlighted the need to learn from and honor the legacy of the Brothers that have come before us — the Brothers on whose shoulders we stand. Now more than ever it is incumbent upon us to safeguard our rich history and chronicle the men that have made this illustrious chapter what it is.
Over the years, the monument on our Wiley University's campus has been an enduring symbol of the fraternity’s commitment to our aims of “manly deeds, scholarship, and love for all mankind.” It has been weathered but has stood the test of time, a shining symbol of our past, our present, and yes, our future.
The monument continues to be the primary gathering place for Brothers, and a perfect place to serve as a permanent registry of our history. To showcase the newly renovated monument the immediate surrounding area has been paved into a beautiful plaza dedicated to giving Brothers the space to have a visible reminder of their commitment and connection the chapter. Together, we have a unique opportunity to transform this into an even more rarefied space and secure its sustenance, by “Maintaining our past, present and future, brick by brick.” This funding campaign will provide needed dollars to fund the ALPHA SIGMA ENDOWMENT at Wiley University.
This is a WIN, WIN, WIN! Your contribution will:
1) preserve and commemorate your personal Alpha legacy in the plaza around the newly renovated monument
2) ensure the perpetual upkeep of the monument
3) help establish an academic scholarship as part of the endowment
Moments like these don’t happen often, a chance to preserve your legacy in perpetuity. Will you join us in this historic opportunity to maintain the lineage of the “Mother Chapter?” Our partner Bricks ‘R Us has helped to make contributing easy, safe and secure.
